This page explains how information sent to the estate is used and the choices available for optional website services.

Contact, quotation and stay enquiries
Forms send the information you enter: name, email address, telephone number if provided, message and, depending on your enquiry, dates, guest count and accommodation needs. Required fields enable us to process the enquiry; other information is optional.
This information is used to reply, prepare a quotation and discuss your plans. For quotation or booking enquiries, processing is based on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. General information enquiries are handled on the basis of the estate's legitimate interest in replying to its contacts. The form acknowledgement is not permission for marketing or optional website services.
Site operation and security
Technical data necessary to operate and protect the website may be processed to prevent abuse and safeguard enquiries, on the basis of the legitimate interest in securing the service. The hosting service may also generate technical logs. A secure session is used for site administration, separately from optional visitor services.
Website fonts are served directly by the site. External links do not load the linked service's page until you open them.
Optional services and remembering your choices
Vercel Web Analytics measures site visits only after you agree. URL query parameters and fragments are removed from events sent. This implementation does not send custom events containing form information.
Google Maps displays directions only after you agree. It may send technical data, including your IP address, to Google and allow Google to use its own trackers. You can use the external directions link without enabling the embedded map; opening it takes you directly to Google's service.
Audience measurement and Google Maps can be accepted or rejected separately. Both are off by default. Your choices, their version and expiry are saved in your browser's local storage for 180 days, separately for each domain. You can change them at any time with ‘Manage my preferences’ in the footer. Withdrawing analytics permission may reload the page to stop a script that has already loaded.
Who receives the information?
The estate team receives enquiries and uses providers necessary to operate the service: Vercel for hosting and, if permitted, audience measurement; Neon for enquiry storage; and the estate's messaging provider for transmission and correspondence. Google is involved if you enable its embedded map.
Depending on their infrastructure, these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Contact the estate for details about providers and applicable transfer safeguards.
Retention
Enquiry information is retained for the time needed to handle and follow up the request and, where relevant, comply with legal obligations arising from the relationship. You may ask for details or request deletion of information that no longer needs to be kept.
The 180-day period applies only to optional-service preferences stored in your browser, not to retention of contact or quotation enquiries.
Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of processing, object to certain processing and request portability where applicable. To exercise your rights, write to domaineafonte@gmail.com with details of your request. Proportionate identity verification may be required if there is reasonable doubt.
You can withdraw permission for optional services using the footer. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
